Aretum is seeking a skilled and motivated Backend Developer. As a Backend Developer you will be responsible for providing expert technical support, maintenance, and enhancement of a client application within an Agile, sprint-based development environment. The ideal candidate leverages strong backend development expertise in Python, AWS, RESTful APIs, databases, and scalable data solutions to ensure application performance, availability, and integration with TypeScript-based front-end components.
Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.

This is a remote position; however, occasional travel may be required based on project needs, client meetings, team collaboration events, or training sessions. Travel is expected to be less than 10% and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.
