Compassion International is seeking a Director of Finance (Asia) to lead the regional finance function and is responsible for providing strong accounting leadership, regional oversight, and strategic direction across multiple Asia national offices, while ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations aligned with global standards and organization's priorities.

The Director of Finance will also evaluate opportunities to streamline and consolidate finance and accounting processes at a regional level while balancing local compliance, cultural realities, and stakeholder needs.

You will lead through country-level finance leaders and managers, serve as a trusted partner to regional and global leaders, and help shape how finance enables Compassion’s mission across Asia

Key Responsibilities

Regional Finance & Accounting Leadership

• Lead and oversee accounting and finance operations across multiple Asia national offices, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory, board, and global standards.
• Provide strategic direction for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, capital expenditures, and financial analysis at a regional level.
• Ensure timely, accurate submission and administration of regional and country budgets, integrated with strategic planning.

Change, Efficiency & Organizational Design

• Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of finance operations across the region.
• Evaluate which finance functions should remain local versus be consolidated into a regional operating model.
• Drive process improvement, policy development, and data integrity initiatives, including business intelligence and reporting enhancements.

Leadership Through Managers

• Lead and develop multiple country-level accounting managers and finance leaders.
• Set clear goals and expectations, coach performance, build capability, and strengthen the regional finance leadership bench.
