Description:

• Join Pleo as a Senior Backend Engineer on the Bank Infrastructure team, focusing on payment systems and integrations with banks and payment partners.
• Work on critical systems ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, with a culture valuing transparency, collaboration, and engineering excellence.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with payment integrations, bank APIs, and financial messaging formats (e.g., ISO 20022, SWIFT, SEPA).
• Strong understanding of payment flows, resilient distributed systems, and server-side development (preferably in Kotlin or Java).
• Proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL), cloud environments (AWS, Kubernetes), and observability tools.
• Awareness of payment compliance and regulatory considerations is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience with production payment systems.
• High proficiency with AI-enhanced development tools and a collaborative mindset.
